Hobe Sound
Hobe Sound
Hobe Sound is a fast-growing Treasure Coast community in Martin County, Florida whose residents are committed to the retention of their peaceful, village-like atmosphere. The area is predicted to grow considerably over the next 20 years. The proposed Seawind project, which includes a town center concept, would be twice as big as Martin Downs in Palm City and larger than the city of Stuart, the Martin county seat.
Away from the central core of the county, Hobe Sound embodies the spirit of community. The once-incorporated Hobe Sound attracts young families, retirees and people seeking ideal locations for a second home in Florida. "Streetscaping" and road improvements brighten the main entrance to Hobe Sound on US-1, and a network of new sidewalks makes it easier for children to travel to the new park. These sidewalks also lead to the community's planned new library. The area's proximity to I-95 make the community a favorite for commuters who work in West Palm Beach.
Its location across the Intracoastal Waterway from Jupiter Island gives Hobe Sound a unique relationship to its neighbor. Earlier in the century. Hobe Sound was the arrival point for trains bringing winter residents to Jupiter Island. It was also the commercial center for both communities.
