Boca Raton Resort & Club

Situated on 356 acres in Boca Raton, the heart of Florida's Gold Coast in south Palm Beach County, the Boca Raton Resort & Club has reinforced its reputation as a premier golf resort with the recent $6.5-million reconstruction of the Resort Course. Each hole on this 18-hole, par-71, 6,253-yard course has been redesigned.

The addition of extensive water features and a variety of elevation changes have created renewed interest throughout the course. Each hole offers five sets of tees, with the back set providing an challenging level of difficulty for seasoned golfers.

The Resort course is one of two championship 18-hole courses at Boca Raton. The Country Club course located at the Boca Country Club, just minutes from the resort, was designed by Joe Lee. This par-72 course plays 6,585 yards from the back tees and offers a signature island green on the 18th hole.

Fully-stocked pro shops, complete practice facilities and two prestigious golf schools are part of the attraction. The 1999 Golf Package offers two nights of accommodations, unlimited green fees with shared cart on either course, daily golf clinic, daily breakfast and much more. Rates vary depending on the season.

Parents can enjoy full days on the golf course while their children participate in the resort's Boca Family Fun program. Supervised daily recreational programs are geared to four age groups, starting at age three up to 17.

The Boca Raton Resort & Club is a architectural delight, with hidden gardens, barrel tile roofs, archways, ornate columns and intricate mosaics. All of the resort's 936 guest rooms, located in five different areas of the resort, feature deluxe amenities. Golfers may prefer the Golf Villas - 120 rooms and suites secluded from the main hotel overlooking the Resort golf course.

Additional features include 34 tennis courts, five pools, an indoor basketball court, four indoor racquetball courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a 25-slip marina with full fishing and boating facilities and a half-mile of private beach with water sports facilities.

The resort also provides endless dining choices. Options include Italian fare at Top of the Tower, offering a panoramic view of the coastal waterways; American-style cuisine in Chauncey's Court overlooking the championship golf course; tropical beach dining in The Cabana; or elegant dining at Nick's Fishmarket, featuring outstanding fresh seafood indigenous to the area.
